The Instructional Services Librarian is a full-time, tenure-track member of the Ryan Library faculty and is responsible for providing research support, information literacy instruction, and collection development for assigned liaison areas.
Job Responsibilities
Ryan Library’s Instructional Services Librarians work both independently and collaboratively to design research and information literacy instruction in support of their designated academic departments and programs. As the 11-month Instructional Services Librarian, this member of the library faculty leads in providing research instruction and support during the summer months.
Educational/Experiential Requirements
Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program required; additional relevant Master’s or doctoral degree required if librarian opts to pursue promotion beyond Associate Professor Experience or significant graduate preparation in providing research support, information literacy instruction, and collection development, preferably in an academic library context Experience or significant graduate preparation in teaching and learning in face-to-face, hybrid, and digital environments.
