Continuing Education Coordinator – NEFLIN (Northeast Florida Library Information Network) – Orange Park, FL

Job Summary

Join our team at NEFLIN, a non-profit library cooperative, dedicated to excellence in library services across Florida. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. We are seeking a talented Training Coordinator to support our training and development initiatives. As our Training Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our training programs. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to assess training needs, coordinate logistics, and facilitate training sessions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about empowering library professionals to deliver exceptional services. Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm at our office in Orange Park. Salary Range: $48,000 – $53,000/Year. Start Date: January 6, 2025.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with library directors and staff members to identify training needs and develop comprehensive training plans aligned with the cooperative’s goals.
  • Utilize project management skills to oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling sessions, booking venues, and arranging equipment and materials, ensuring smooth execution of training events
  • Communicate training schedules and expectations to participants and track attendance and feedback to measure training effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, employing interactive methods to ensure active engagement and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Evaluate training outcomes through participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in library services and training methodologies, incorporating innovative approaches into training programs.

Educational/Experiential Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Library Science.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate training initiatives effectively.
  • Oversee multiple budgets, and provide financial reports and recommendations on the projects under your supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences of library professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with library stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is preferred.
  • Experience with virtual training platforms and multimedia tools is preferred.
