Note from the Coordinator
Greetings, friends!
As we continue through the Lenten season, we prepare our hearts to remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate His resurrection. May this be a meaningful time of reflection and renewal for you.
This month brings exciting updates and exclusive savings for CLC members! The spring reopening of the fall EBSCO eBook offer is now available, but only until May 15—don’t miss out! Additionally, throughout April, EBSCO is offering IVP titles at an 80% discount off the regular price, and the CLC 30% discount applies on top of that. These limited-time offers provide a great opportunity to expand your library’s collection at a significant savings.
Also, please take a moment to review the details regarding CLC membership renewals below.
Finally, save the date! The CLC membership meeting will be held at ACL’s Annual Conference in Nampa, Idaho, on Tuesday, June 3, at 4:00 PM (local time). We hope to see you there!

CLC Team Coordinator
CLC membership renewal for the 2025/2026 membership period will begin in May.
As we approach the CLC renewal season, we want to inform you of a recently approved policy and pricing structure by the ACL Board, which will take effect with the 2025/2026 CLC membership period. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact us at clc@acl.org.
CLC Membership Policy
Each institution that wishes to become a member of CLC must purchase its own membership.
An institution may share a single CLC membership in the case of an institutional parent/child relationship. This could include main branch or satellite campuses who are under a single administration or institutions who share budgets and resources. In all instances of institutions in parent/child relationships wishing to share a CLC membership, the following will apply:
- The parent institution will initiate the request for membership and be listed as the CLC member
- The parent institution will be responsible for contracts and decisions for the unit and initiate all requests for purchasing CLC consortia resources (databases, e-resources, etc.)
Only one institution name can be associated with one CLC membership.
Updated CLC Membership Fees

The 2025/2026 membership fee structure will take effect with the CLC membership renewal next month.
2025/2026 Renewal Process
The new CLC membership period will begin on July 1, 2025, with renewals opening in May. Here’s what you need to know to ensure a smooth renewal process:
-
ACL Individual Membership Requirement
Each CLC library must have at least one current full ACL member to maintain eligibility. If you are unsure of your library’s status, please contact the ACL Home Office for assistance. -
No Grace Period
Please be aware there is no grace period for CLC memberships. To avoid disruption, your renewal and payment must be completed by July 1. -
New Renewal Process Coming Soon
We are introducing a new renewal process this year. Additional details and instructions will be shared next month.
ACL Research Award – Nomination Deadline April 3
The ACL Research Award is a special, once-a-year benefit exclusively for CLC member institutions. Since 2007, this award has allowed libraries to honor exceptional student researchers, elevate the library’s role at your school’s academic awards ceremony, and increase awareness of ACL within your institution.
Award recipients are recognized with an official ACL certificate and featured on the ACL website. Be sure to take full advantage of this benefit! Submit your nominations by April 3.
ACL Conference – CLC Registration Discount
Registration for the 2025 ACL Annual Conference is open! Individual ACL members save $90, and as a CLC member, your library can send one non-ACL staff member at the member rate—a $90 discount.
To redeem this offer, email info@acl.org for your special discount code and registration instructions. Registration closes at the end of this month on April 30—don’t miss out on this opportunity to save and join us in Idaho for ACL’s annual cornerstone event!
Our Fall Offer Has Reopened! Save 10% on Zondervan titles or 30% on curated 2023 and 2024 eBook collections or a la carte titles! This special offer runs through May 15, so be sure to act quickly. During the month of April only, IVP titles are discounted at 80% off the regular price. Apply the 30% CLC discount to make these titles even more affordable. Thinking about joining the CLC Overdrive group but want to know more about how an Overdrive consortium works? Overdrive will host their Consortium Connect ’25 webinar on April 17 at 1 pm Eastern. Join Overdrive for an in-depth look at the benefits libraries can receive by sharing an academic collection. The 1-hour webinar will cover an introduction to Overdrive’s products and services, consortium testimonials and success stories, a look at the consortium structure and overview, and a time for Q&A. While this webinar will not cover contract or pricing information specific to any one group, it should be beneficial for prospective libraries with questions about how an Overdrive consortium works.
