ACL Involvement
How were you introduced to ACL? I love telling this story. 🙂 One day, a former indexer walked into my office, threw down a magazine, and said, “Here, this is something you’re going to do.” She then told me about indexing, Christian Periodical Index, and ACL. After that, I went to my first ACL conference at Lee University in 1998. I met Barbara Nelson, who introduced me to Jule Kind and the CPI team. I have been indexing over 25 years now.
Describe ACL in three words: Fellowship, encouragement, tribe.
What do you value about ACL? I value the professional colleagues and lifelong friends that I have made over the years in ACL. I am truly grateful to be part of this organization.
How are you or have you been involved in ACL? I have been a member of the Christian Periodical Index team for 25 years now. I have also been on a conference planning team, conference presenter, and co-authored an article for The Christian Librarian. I have attended multiple ACL conferences.
