Donations made to the Foundation for the Advancement of Christian Libraries (FACL) are used to further the mission of the association. If you benefited from FACL/ACL and you would like to contribute to this important cause, please see below the specific ways you can donate.

Donation Types

The Association of Christian Librarians (ACL) offers four types of donation opportunities, allowing you to designate your gift to specific areas of impact:
  • Legacy Endowment: The Legacy Endowment is a board-designated fund created to support ACL members through professional development, scholarships, research opportunities, and conference attendance. The fund grows through member donations and, when financially possible, contributions from ACL’s annual surplus. Since 2020, grants have been awarded, and the board is excited to see how this endowment continues to advance librarianship by supporting individual librarians. To contribute, select “Legacy Endowment” as the donation type on the Donations Form.
  • ACL Conference: Members occasionally express interest in supporting the annual conference by helping offset costs for fellow members. These funds are allocated based on need. If you’d like to give toward the ACL Conference, select “ACL Conference” as the donation type. You can also specify which type of librarian (e.g., public librarian, Bible college librarian, solo librarian) you’d like your donation to support in the updated Donation Form.
  • Jeanette Parker Memorial Conference Scholarship: Established in June 2024, this scholarship fund honors Jeanette Parker, a dedicated ACL member and board member. It supports ACL members currently enrolled in library school who wish to attend the annual conference. Donations to this fund celebrate Jeanette’s passion for Christian librarianship, ACL fellowship, and conference participation. To contribute, select “Jeanette Parker Memorial Conference Scholarship” as the donation type on the Donations Form.
  • General Donations: General donations are used to assist members in various ways as determined by the ACL Board. To make a general contribution, choose “General Donation” as the donation type on the Donations Form.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

A special gift to ACL may be the perfect opportunity to remember a friend or colleague! Your tax-deductible gift to FACL may be made in honor of a fellow librarian’s birthday, retirement, or other special occasion. You may also give in memory of a special friend or family member as a tribute at a loved one’s passing. A note to commemorate your gift will be sent to the address you indicate.
