2024 – Robert Oliverio
Since joining ACL in 2021, Robert has consistently contributed to discussions, offered valuable insights, and generously shared his expertise on the ACL Discussion Group. His commitment to professional development is evident through his active participation in ACL conferences, starting with a virtual poster in 2022, followed by a virtual presentation in 2023, and now presenting in person at the 2024 Conference.
Beyond conference participation, Robert has extended his involvement by assuming leadership roles within ACL. In 2023, he joined the leadership of the Liberal Arts Section as a Member at Large and took on the role of Convener for the Supervision and Management Interest Group.
His eagerness to support fellow librarians and enhance the ACL community is evident in his proactive engagement and consistent contributions – embodying the Spirit of ACL!
Spirit of ACL Award
The Spirit of ACL Award may be awarded annually by the Board of Directors. This award is bestowed on an individual within their first 5 years of ACL membership who has demonstrated exceptional passion for the mission of the Association through volunteer service on a standing team, noteworthy participation in a special project, or other outstanding service to ACL. The Executive Director will solicit nominations from Team Leaders; however, any ACL member may submit a nomination. Nominations should be submitted to the Executive Director no later than March 15 for presentation at the annual conference.
