CLC Update

June 2026

Note from the Coordinator

Greetings! In just a few days, many of us will be in Indiana at the ACL annual conference. I trust that it will truly be a time of refreshing and renewal. For those who can’t be there this year, we will provide a recap from the CLC membership meeting in a future monthly update.

In this newsletter, we are excited to share more information about a possible ACRL Benchmark discount. Please also note information regarding extended trial access to World Trade Press databases and the opportunity to register for an upcoming W.T. Cox webinar.

It’s Time to Renew Your CLC Membership

We are grateful for your participation in the CLC community. As a reminder, your current CLC membership expires on June 30, and the new membership year begins July 1.

Because CLC institutional membership does not include a grace period, renewal information was emailed to current members in mid-May. To ensure uninterrupted access to CLC benefits, all renewal information and payment must be received by June 30.

Please also note that each institution must have at least one current individual ACL member in place for the 2026 year in order for the institutional CLC membership to continue. If you would like to confirm your membership status, you are welcome to contact Linda, our Membership Specialist, at [email protected].

We are here to support you and are happy to help ensure everything is in place for a smooth transition into another year of CLC membership.

ACRL Benchmark

The last couple of months, we have asked our members about potential interest in a consortium discount for an ACRL Benchmark subscription. We have heard from several of you and are hopeful that we will have enough libraries to begin a group subscription. We need at least 7 libraries to make this cost-effective for everyone.

Here are some details from ACRL regarding a group subscription:

  • Pricing for group subscriptions is currently $3,225 for up to 10 libraries and $215 for each additional library. ACRL can bill institutions directly.
  • The group subscription can start at any time, and it will be valid for a year from the purchase date. If we want to add an additional school before the annual renewal, we can do so for the original price per institution, and they will have the same expiration date as the rest of the group. ACRL does not pro-rate subscriptions.
  • At the renewal time, the price will be determined by the number of subscribers who renew their subscription, plus any new members.
  • An email has been sent to those who have expressed interest in participating. If you did not receive this email but are interested in joining this group, please contact us at [email protected] and let us know.
