Resource Sharing

Exclusive CLC Resource – Christian Library Network (CLN)

CLC members who have access to OCLC Worldshare ILL are invited to participate in the Christian Library Network through OCLC. The Christian Library Network allows participating members to provide reciprocal interlibrary loan services to other CLC institutions as preferred lenders, thus expanding access to materials without expanding the budget. Lending between CLN libraries is mutually beneficial and reflects the shared commitment of CLC members to serve one another well.

Other ACL Resource Sharing Opportunities

  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service – Strengthen professional networks and share best practices for ILL operations among Christian academic libraries.
  • Reciprocal Borrowing Program – Provide faculty and students with access privileges at participating ACL member institutions.
  • Library Policy Repository – Access shared policy documents contributed by member libraries to support efficient and consistent library operations.

Institutional Support

CLC member libraries may send one non-ACL member to the annual conference of the Association of Christian Librarians at the ACL member registration rate, a savings of $90.

Email [email protected] to receive the information needed to register at the discounted rate.

This benefit supports your institution by expanding affordable professional development opportunities, reducing training costs, and strengthening your library’s engagement within the Christian academic community.

CLC membership provides meaningful support for institutions accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

During accreditation self-studies, libraries must demonstrate how they support institutional standards; active participation in CLC provides documented evidence of enhanced resource sufficiency, support for qualified personnel and professional development, integration of teaching and learning, alignment of resources with student learning outcomes, institutional stewardship, and ongoing institutional effectiveness and improvement.

The ACL Research Award gives CLC member institutions a way to honor outstanding student researchers while highlighting the library’s role and creating a presence for ACL on campus.

Participating in the ACL Research Award demonstrates support for student achievement, elevates the library’s presence on campus, and promotes ACL, which can also serve as documentation in accreditation or institutional reports.
