Note from the Coordinator
April greetings! We are nearing the end of the season of Lent. On Friday, we will remember Jesus’ sacrificial death for the world on the cross and then on Sunday, we celebrate our Risen Lord and Savior! I pray it is a blessed time for each one.
He was delivered over to death for our sins but was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:25 NIV
Read below for April highlights as well as for information on some future CLC plans and possibilities.

Beth Purtee
CLC Team Coordinator
- Next month, be looking for an updated offer from World Trade Press!
- The CLC team continues to talk with Accordance Bible Software. A possible offer will be explored once Accordance launches their new online application.
- With the removal of the Academic Libraries Survey from IPEDS, we’d like to revisit an opportunity which the CLC team previously explored for a consortia discount for ACRL Benchmark. There would be a minimum of 6 libraries needed to form a group. The price per institution only becomes lower than the individual subscription rate when at least six libraries participate in a group purchase. Let us know at [email protected] if you might be interested in participating in such a group.

ACL Research Award
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to celebrate your students’ academic excellence and highlight the important role of your library at your institution! The deadline to submit a nomination for the ACL Research Award is tomorrow, April 2. The nomination form and all the details are available on the ACL website. We look forward to highlighting your students and their achievements!
Save on the ACL Annual Conference
As a member of the Christian Library Consortium, your institution receives a valuable professional development benefit through the Association of Christian Librarians. Each CLC member library may send one non ACL member from your institution to the ACL Annual Conference at the ACL member registration rate, a savings of $90. To take advantage of the CLC benefit, email [email protected] to request the special discount code to use during registration. This is an excellent opportunity to extend conference access to more of your team while maximizing the value of your CLC membership and investing in their professional and spiritual growth. Please note that conference registration closes April 30.
Bloomsbury Annual Enrollment
We hope some of you will take advantage of the CLC Bloomsbury discount during this annual open enrollment period – running through May 1! Discounts are available on Bloomsbury collections and individual eBooks.
Purchase or subscribe to new Bloomsbury collections for a discount of 25% (on 1-4 collections) or 30% (on 5 or more collections). On their Theology & Religion Online platform, Bloomsbury offers several collections relevant to many in ACL, such as the Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary, the Anchor Yale Bible Commentaries, and Eerdman’s Bible Commentaries, and the just recently launched Baker New Testament Bible Commentaries. But they also offer collections in a variety of other subject areas. Click here to view their full catalog.
Visit the CLC Offers & Discounts page for all the details.
Are you looking for a new library system? OCLC has partnered with us for several years to provide a discount for new subscribers to OCLC’s WorldShare Management System (WMS). The discount increases as more libraries participate. Currently all participants receive a 20% discount, but we are close to moving up to a 25% discount.
Libraries may purchase WMS at any time during the year. However, for fiscal-year calculations, only orders placed by June 30 count toward the total number of participating libraries. This total is important because reaching the next participation threshold (40 libraries for CLC) triggers an additional 5% discount on renewals for all WMS libraries in the following fiscal year.
Catch the details here, including a link to a CLC landing page that OCLC created for us.
