Job Summary
The John E. Riley library is seeking candidates for the position of Access Services Librarian with faculty status.
Job Responsibilities
Each library faculty position includes three major areas: functional responsibilities, research and instruction responsibilities, and liaison responsibilities. The functional responsibilities of the Access Services Librarian include:
- Cataloging and collection management
- Coordinating ILL
- Maintaining the ILS (OPALS), government documents, and maintaining the institutional repository
Educational/Experiential Requirements
- ALA accredited (or equivalent) library degree
- Evidence of leadership in collaborative activities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to respond efficiently to changing needs and priorities
- Awareness of developing technologies and tools appropriate for library applications
