CLC Update

May 2026

Note from the Coordinator

Greetings to you this May!

For me, it’s a time of transition from a hectic end of the semester to a more relaxed summer schedule where I can ideally work on some projects that have been put on a back burner. Another thing to look forward to in the summer is ACL’s annual conference. It’s hard to believe that it will take place in a little over a month. There will be a couple of specific opportunities for the CLC team to connect with you. We hope to see you there!

In this edition, be sure to read about our updated offer with World Trade Press, including an upcoming webinar and a free trial opportunity.

  • New! CLC Member Hub – We are excited to launch the CLC Member Hub, a new webpage created specifically for current CLC members. This space is separate from the main CLC landing page, which focuses on membership information. The Member Hub provides a centralized location where members can easily access all resources, benefits, and tools related to their CLC membership in one place.
  • CLC at the 2026 ACL Annual Conference
    • CLC Membership Meeting –  Tuesday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern
We invite you to join us for our CLC Membership Meeting to connect with other CLC members, ask questions, and hear updates on consortium offerings and partnerships.
    • CLC Poster Session PresentationTuesday, June 9, 1:00–2:15 p.m. Eastern
For a refreshed overview of everything CLC has to offer, stop by our poster session during this time. We look forward to sharing updates and engaging with you in person.
  • ACRL Benchmark
With the removal of the Academic Libraries Survey from IPEDS, we’d like to revisit an opportunity which the CLC team previously explored for a consortia discount for ACRL Benchmark.  There would be a minimum of 6 libraries needed to form a group. The price per institution only becomes lower than the individual subscription rate when at least six libraries participate in a group purchase.  Let us know at [email protected] if you might be interested in participating in such a group.

Institutional Membership Renewal

CLC Membership Renewal

We are grateful for your participation in the CLC community. As a reminder, your current CLC membership expires on June 30, and the new membership year begins July 1.

Because CLC institutional membership does not include a grace period, the ACL Home Office will send renewal information to current members in mid-May. To ensure uninterrupted access to CLC benefits, all renewal information and payment must be received by June 30.

Please also note that each institution must have at least one current individual ACL member in place for the 2026 year in order for the institutional CLC membership to continue. If you would like to confirm your membership status, you are welcome to contact Linda, our Membership Specialist, at [email protected].

We are here to support you and are happy to help ensure everything is in place for a smooth transition into another year of CLC membership.
